Since graduating from the University of Connecticut in 2012 (BA, BS) and 2013 (MA), Sarah has taught middle school Social Studies in Portland, CT. She is the PreK-12 Social Studies Curriculum Specialist for the Portland Public Schools and is passionate about designing curriculum that engages students in inquiry, analysis, and exploration of the world beyond the classroom walls.

As a National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellow, Sarah traveled to Antarctica aboard theĀ National Geographic Explorer with Lindblad Expeditions in December 2017. The Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship program is a professional learning opportunity for PreK-12 educators from across North America made possible by a partnership between Lindblad Expeditions and the National Geographic Society.
